[CHOMPING AND CHEWING LOUDLY] NARRATOR: Cookie
Monster is Dorothy, a Kansas schoolgirl
with a big dream. COOKIE MONSTER:
[SINGING] Somewhere over the rainbow cookie. [SPEAKING NORMALLY]
Wait a minute. Sorry. Stop movie. This not black and white cookie. This rainbow cookie. This need color. Uh– [MUSIC PLAYING] Oh. That better. [CHOMPING AND CHEWING LOUDLY] NARRATOR: See the world
turn from black and white to color in “The Cookie of Oz.” COOKIE MONSTER:
There cookie in Oz? What me doing here? Where cookie? Where cookie? [GASPS] [LOUD BELCH] GLINDAGESTION: [YELLING] COOKIE MONSTER: Hey,
who this lady in bubble? GLINDAGESTION:
I’m Glindagestion, the good witch of
the lower intestine. And if you want to
find the Cookie of Oz, you must remember
these directions. COOKIE MONSTER: Well,
that sound easy enough. What are the directions? GLINDAGESTION: First, you must
follow the chocolate chip road. Second, do the opposite of
what the Cookie Tin Man says. Third, go through the
emerald green door. COOKIE MONSTER: Wait. That so many directions. How me supposed
to remember them? GLINDAGESTION: You need
a logical memory chant. COOKIE MONSTER: What that? GLINDAGESTION: It’s a
strategy where you take words from each direction and say
them over and over again so you remember. COOKIE MONSTER:
Oh, that good idea. What first direction again? GLINDAGESTION: First, follow
the chocolate chip road. COOKIE MONSTER: Right. OK. Me try to remember
chocolate chip. What next? GLINDAGESTION: Second,
do the opposite of what the Cookie Tin Man says. COOKIE MONSTER:
Oh, opposite, yeah. That seem important. Me remember word opposite. GLINDAGESTION: And last, go
through the emerald green door. COOKIE MONSTER: OK. Me remember green. GLINDAGESTION: Now just
say those words over and over again to remember. COOKIE MONSTER: OK. Uh, chocolate chip,
opposite, green. Oh my. Chocolate chip, opposite, green. Me got it. GLINDAGESTION: Good
luck remembering. [LOUD BELCH] COOKIE MONSTER: OK. Well, me off to find cookie. Oh, me just take
this pink– [GROANS] Why me get hit by flying monkey? [LOUD BELCH] GLINDAGESTION: Remember
the directions. [LOUD BELCH] COOKIE MONSTER: OK. Um, how me chant go again? Uh, chocolate chip,
opposite, green. Oh my. Me got it. Me remember me need to
follow chocolate chip road. [SINGING] Me looking for the
cookie, delicious Cookie of Oz. NARRATOR: Watch the sparks fly
as Dorothy meets the Cookie Tin Man. COOKIE MONSTER: Which
way to Cookie of Oz? COOKIE TIN MAN: This way. COOKIE MONSTER: Thank you. [GRUNTS] [GROANING] FLYING MONKEY: [LAUGHING] COOKIE MONSTER:
[GROANS] Why me get hit with flying monkey again? [LOUD BELCH] GLINDAGESTION: Remember
the directions. [LOUD BELCH] COOKIE MONSTER: Right. What me chant again? Chocolate chip, opposite, green. Me remember me
supposed to do opposite of what Cookie Tin Man says. Uh, which way to Cookie of Oz? COOKIE TIN MAN: This way. COOKIE MONSTER: OK. You say that way. But me supposed to do
opposite, so me go that way. NARRATOR: You’ll be on
the edge of your seat as Dorothy tries to remember
what door to go through. COOKIE MONSTER: Oh, me
go through this door. Ah. [GRUNTS] [GROANS] FLYING MONKEY: [LAUGHING] COOKIE MONSTER:
[GROANS] What me got to do to stop this
monkey business? [LOUD BELCH] GLINDAGESTION: Remember
the directions. COOKIE MONSTER:
Woah, woah, woah. Save gas, Glindagestion. Me just remember me need
to use me memory chant. GLINDAGESTION: Yes. [LOUD BELCH] COOKIE MONSTER: Chocolate
chip, opposite, green. Oh my. Me remember. Me supposed to go
through green door, yeah. [HUMMING] Oh. NARRATOR: You’ll squeal with
delight when Dorothy finally finds the Cookie of Oz. COOKIE MONSTER: Cowabunga. [LAUGHING] [GRUNTS] Wh–? Woah. What? The Cookie of Oz is not real? Me do all this remembering
for fake cookie? What happened? [LOUD BELCH] GLINDAGESTION: I
just remembered. The Cookie of Oz has been
with you the whole time. Check your feet. [LOUD BELCH] COOKIE MONSTER: Hey. Me shoes made of cookie. Oh, nom nom nom. [GRUNTS] [GROANS]
[CHOMPS LOUDLY] Oh! Ow, ow, ow, oh. [GROANS] Me have new
thing me need to remember. Always take off shoes
before you eat them. Yeah. NARRATOR: “The Cookie of Oz.” Remember to see it at
a theater near you. ENSEMBLE: [SINGING]
Taking all the treats. Why does he leave
us with the crumbs? Maybe he’ll learn to share
with us when tomorrow comes. NARRATOR: Jean
Bon-Bon understood what his friends were feeling. COOKIE MONSTER: Uh,
yeah, me no have clue.

  6. I noticed Cookies shoes were made from cookies and thought it could be a clue! I didn't realise he was going to eat them at the end. Might encourage kids to eat their shoes! I love the way he just accepts things as they are no matter how crazy they seem, in the pursuit of cookies!

    Maybe he's fed up of just going down to the supermarket and buying a pack.of biscuits – no he has to have adventure to get them!
