MARIO PIRANHA COOKIE POPS – NERDY NUMMIES

Hey guys, it’s Ro! Welcome to another Nerdy
Nummies! Today we are gonna be making something from
Mario because I got so many requests to do something again from Mario, so, today
we are gonna be making Piranha Plant Cookie Pops! The things that you will need today will be:
1 cookie sheet, lollipop sticks, these are the shortest ones available in the
store, so just the little ones. 1 Pacman cookie cutter, I found this on think
geek, I’ll put a link below so you can go check it out if you want to buy these. But, if you don’t have 1 of these these, you can also use a circle cookie cutter, that’s fine, I’ll show
you. No big deal! 1 Rolling pin, 1 egg, 1 stick of butter, I’m
using tillamook, 1 bag of sugar cookie mix, or you can use your favorite sugar
cookie recipe, some flour and a big mixing bowl. Let’s get started! You add a little bit of flour, just a pinch,
now the fun part! Get your hands in there and just mix it up! You’re just going to knead all of these
ingredients together, to make this! This is a reference, it should look a little
like this! Now we’re done mashing up all our dough,
now is a good time to preheat your oven to 350, just go boop-boop-ba-doop-boop-ba-doop-boop!
Done! Now you’re gonna take some flour, take a
pinch, sprinkle it on the table, this is so our cookie dough will not stick
to the table. Sugar cookie dough is very sticky! Very sticky! Take our rolling pin and roll it out. Now you’re just gonna take your little Pacman
cookie cutter, or you can take your circle cookie cutter,
that’s fine too! Just cut out all the little shapes. And then, pick him up and put him on the cookie
tray. Just make sure to spread out your cookies,
because you’re gonna be putting the lollipop sticks into the end of them,
and you’re just gonna put them right in the center, doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo,
like so. While those are baking, we’re gonna do some
arts and crafts, we’re gonna stick those cookie lollipops into these little
clay pots. We’re gonna paint them green so that they look like Mario pipes,
ahhh! I found these pots at Michaels craft store,
they were really inexpensive, I think they were like, 50 cents, or something
like that, they were the smallest sizes too, so, yay! Let’s get painting! Hmmm, hmmm, hmmm, hmmm! Hmmm, hmmm, hmmm, hmmm, hmmm! Let’s get painting our 4 pots! All you will need is a paintbrush, and I found
some green non-toxic paint. I like this color the best, I’ll put the
name of it down below so you can go check it out if you’d like to use it too! I thought it looked most like the Mario green
pipe. And then you’re just gonna paint the entire pot all the way around. And be careful, because apparently these break
easy. Ta-da! We got all of our little pipes made,
and now we are gonna make the base, which our little piranha pops will go into.
So what we’re gonna do is I pre-made brownies, everybody loves brownies! And you just take a spoonful of brownie,
and stuff it down there to make it really compact. The reason I’m using
brownies to stuff in here, is because they’re really, really thick, and they’ll
hold that cookie pop in place. Some people, I’ve seen them use cupcakes,
they’ll put a little cupcake in here, but they’re really soft and they…
The cookie will just fall over! Just stuff ‘em in there! The more brownies
the better! I’m gonna leave a little bit of space in here, so there’s room for
a little bit of chocolate frosting topped with Oreo dirt, om-nom-nom! So what you do is we’ve got chocolate frosting,
just gonna do is take a little bit, put it on top, schmooth it around, so that our Oreo will stick to it. Now I’m gonna sprinkle Oreo crumbs on top
of all this, chocolate magic! Here we go! Doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo! Oh my god it looks so good! To make this Oreo blend is really, really
easy, all you do is take an Oreo cookie, open it up, and then you scrape
off all the good stuff. I know, right? And then you throw them in the blender, and
it will turn into Oreo cookie dust! And then you’re just gonna do ‘em to all of
the little pipes. Ta-da! Our little Mario Pipes are done, they
came out awesome! They smell really good, like chocolate heaven,
and I want to eat them right now! Our little piranha cookies are done, just
make sure they’ve had plenty of time to cool, because if you pick them up while
they’re still warm, this little stick, the lollipop stick, will just fall
right out of them! You can even put them in the fridge to make
sure they’ve completely cooled. These are food pens, they’re pens that are
edible, we’re drawing directly on the cookie, but we’re gonna be using the
green pen to color the stem, the lollipop stick. We’re gonna color
it green so that it actually looks like the vine, and just go ahead and noo-noo-noo-noo-noo-noo-noo! And if it accidentally touches your cookie,
it’s OK because it’s edible! I wonder what it tastes like, I haven’t
even tasted it. Oh… Doesn’t really taste like anything. Now we are going to frost our little piranha
cookie red. I’m using royal icing, which is the technical cookie frosting. And
the first thing that we’re gonna do is trace an outline. And start in this
corner, around the entire edge, and then we’re gonna fill it in. Once you’ve got all of your cookies frosted
with the red royal icing, we are gonna take the regular white frosting,
and I put a tip on the end of it, it just screws right on. This is a number
2, just in case you were wondering. And now we are going to draw the white lips
of the piranha and his little polka dots! Ta-da! Now that we’re done frosting, we’re
just gonna stick him into our little Mario pipe, find the middle, and then push
down with the stick. Don’t push down on top of the cookie, because
he might break off. Push down on the stick. And then, oh he’s
so cute! For the last and final step, I’m gonna be
adding little leaves to our Piranha cookies! I found these, they’re icing candies, at
Michael’s craft store, but if you can’t find these, if you’re not near a
Michaels, you can also use these. Little gummy spearmint leaves, so these are
a backup, in case you don’t have the first ones. You’re just gonna take 2 of ‘em, and stick
them righting the dirt. Ta-da! And do that for all of them. Ta-da! Our Piranha Cookie Pops are all done, thanks
you guys for suggesting something Mario again, because these are so cute! Yum-yum-yum-yum-yum! If you have any other suggestions for any
other Nerdy Nummies, please let me know, leave me a comment down below and I
will do my best to make them happen. Nerdy Nummies comes out every Tuesday, if
you want you can also click subscribe, I don’t know where the subscribe button
is, somewhere in here… And you’ll get a reminder that it comes
out every Tuesday. OK, thanks you guys, bye-bye!
