DIY Mirror Cake, Corinne VS Cooking #9

[singing] Pippi Longstockings is coming Mirror- Mirror? Say hi to the people. [gasp] Okay What up internet, and you’re watching… Corinne VS Cooking Today, because I like punishment… apparently and because thousands of you have suggested it. I’m trying a mirror cake. I have a feeling this is not going to be the easiest project in the world. So lets get started shall we? So, I obviously have no idea what I’m doing. I do know that these f*cking cakes are awesome looking and if I can get anything close to this to occur, i’m gonna be a happy camper. Now the Russian baker that makes these cakes, her glaze recipe is apparently top secret, but because the internet is the internet someone on Reddit posted a recipe for a mirror glaze, that people say works so we’re gonna use that recipe for the glaze. But we don’t have to worry about that yet because there is a ton more sh*t before we even get to that point. The first thing being that we need to make a cake base and in this video she makes her cake base out of one layer of regular cake, and then a layer of jello. I’m sorry but that is too f*cking weird for me. No, there is not always room for jello! I’m gonna do two layers of regular cake. I’ve followed this recipe to make my cake from scratch. P.S I had to double the recipe for two layers so now you know that. Okay, cakes achieved. I’m gonna let these cool, and then I have to make a white chocolate mousse. To be quite honest, I freaking hate white chocolate. This sh*t is disgusting! Now, I’ve never made any type of mousse before. I definitely suggest watching a couple videos on how to do it first. I did not do that and attempts one, two and three were all f*cking failures. (uahhhhhh) Okay so here goes my fourth white chocolate mousse attempt. Actually, I still don’t think this is right but we’re just gonna f*cking use it, because this town is running out of heavy f*king whipping cream. Then I just put that in the ‘frigerator for a while and let it set, and apparently its supposed to be all flat and beautiful but NO! That’s not what happened, that’s not what happened at all. So I actually I had to do another batch of freaking white chocolate mousse. and added that to the whole situation and I was able to make it a lot more flat on top, which I think is what we are going for. I don’t know. We’ll just have to wait and see. Alright, while that is sitting in the ‘frigerator doing its hardening magic, we’re going to make the mirror glaze. This f*cking kitchen scale saved the day. Yeah, when you have recipes that are in grams, this is pretty much the only way to measure sh*t out. Especially because different liquids have different densities, its not just about the volume. That’s right Corinne VS f*cking science. Once I had everything all measured out, I combined all of the ingredients according the the steps listed in the blog. Now we just have to pop the cake out of the cake pan and see what we’re working with, unfortunately the mousse did not fill all the spaces. We’re just going to have to get pass it and move foward. Now you just put the whole cake on some metal drying racks, and then you just pour the glaze right on top of there. Yes! Turned out pretty dang cool. Mirror cake, Mirror cake on the counter who’s the funniest youtuber you’ve ever encountered. Oh, Jenna marbles? Yeah. *chuckles nervously* Lastly I added some blackberries to enhance the awesomeness of this cake. All in all I’m pretty freaking happy with how this came out. Alright I guess the only thing left to do is the taste test. Yeah, I’m pretty sure that not how you’re supposed to cut it but that’s alright. (Whispers )Don’t tell anyone about that. Cake’s ready. For the amount of time you’ve spent on this I would of hoped that it would’ve of tasted a lot better than it does. What the f*ck is that supposed to mean? Its terrible. Its terrible.   4. Well my mom makes small cakes like this for other people she uses cookies and she makes like a frosting and frezes it and thats the actually cake but nice video

  8. The easiest moose: one package of instant pudding prepared mixed with one large tub of whipped cream. Place in fridge for 1-2 hours. Your done
