We are about ready to have a snowstorm. I happen to have some puff pastry in the fridge. Being the Scandi girl that I am you know I love to bake. So, let’s go inside to get started to do some baking. So first, I’d like to sprinkle on some
sugar onto the countertop. Lay the dough down on to the countertop. Roll the dough. Next, cut out the Christmas tree. Start cutting out the Christmas tree shape. So earlier, I warmed up some Nutella because it’s so much easier to spread, when it’s nice and smooth. So now, just spread on the Nutella. Next, I am putting on the top layer dough on top of the Christmas tree. Now, we are cutting this across. Then, give these a good twist. Now, put on your egg wash. You just want to put a light coating on it. You do not want it to start dripping down the dough. Next, sprinkle the Christmas tree with sugar. So, I have my Christmas tree in the oven at 425 F. I can’t wait to see how it turns out. You can see it is already puffing up. So now, I have all this extra dough I’m going to decorate our Christmas tree with snowflake cutouts This is going to be so adorable. On the largest snowflake I’m going to put on the Nutella as well. Next, put on the top layer. With the tiny cookie cutouts I’m going hold off putting Nutella on these because I may
use these as decorations. Then, we’re going to stick this in the
oven for about 15 minutes. You want to keep an eye on it so it doesn’t burn. So, I just took our Nutella Christmas
tree right out of the oven. It is burning hot. It is actually steaming up the camera. I’m going to let this cool off. Then shortly will decorate this. Earlier we used this snowflake cookie cutter. We ended up making these tiny little snowflake puff pastries. Now, we’re going to start decorating them. So first, brush on some water onto each of the little puff pastries. I’m going to use some really sparkling white sugar sprinkles because it will give
these snowflakes a sparkling look. Back of the snowflake I’m going to put a dab of Nutella. The Nutella will be the glue to hold the little Christmas stars in place. Now I’m putting on a dab of water onto the center of the Christmas tree. Then earlier I made a snowflake Christmas star. I actually made it so it had Nutella inside it. To stay consistent with the Christmas tree theme I love how these turned out. I mean look at this in-between has all that Nutella that’s in there. Then it has other really pretty sparkling sugar on it. These are just going to be absolutely delicious to eat. I am so excited how this turned out.
