Tu Bishvat Paper Leaves

Tu Bishvat is celebrated as the birthday of all trees.  In biblical times this was how the jubilee years were counted so that people knew which year to leave their fields fallow. Nowadays its a reminder that we share the planet with trees which give us oxygen, food, materials and beauty.

Resources: leaves, crayons, paper, paint
1) Find some different leaves in the garden.
2) Place them under some white paper and shade over them with a crayon or pencil.
3) Paint your fingertip and print it on the same page.
4) Write a story underneath each picture to explain how it got its lines: what has the tree or finger seen in its life?

Tu Bishvat Growth Spurt
